My original concept sketches were pretty rough. 

Quite seriously just doodles. but the feedback I took away from group conversation was actually pretty useful. Essentially it was decided that while all of the initial designs had some kind of merit, the best were ones based on an idea I had of textures, of creating a tactile ring that would directly reference a real-world object. This led me to my final design, and although it may be incredibly simple in terms of manufacturing and modelling, I think it speaks really well to the concept.
